We are a family owned and operated tree farm in Williston, VT.  Christmas trees were first planted by Carl and Gert Urie in the late 1960's.  Today it is operated by their daughter, Marcia, and Jan Jenkins.

There are approximately 20 acres of trees; nearly all are balsam. The seedlings are planted from nurseries in Vermont and New Hampshire.  We intersperse the new seedlings (where trees have been cut) with the growing trees so that there is a variety of sizes and shapes throughout the plantation. It takes about 12 years for the seedlings to grow into 6 or 7 foot Christmas trees.

Our plantation is operated in an environmentally friendly manner. The trees are pesticide free.  We have never sprayed.  We shear and shape the trees by hand and we specialize in making the trees ornament friendly.

Having been in business for over 40 years, many folks have made it their family tradition to cut their Christmas tree at Urie's.  Those who came in the early years are now bringing their grandchildren!

We hope that you too will come to find your special Christmas tree and join us in celebrating the season.
